Through the use of the website Ancestry, I have been able to gather information on the life of Edgar Law before he travelled to Australia. Edgar was born July 14th 1887, to George William Law and Dinah Binns, he had one sibling, Beatrice Law/Southwell. Edgar grew up in Mytholmroyd, Yorkshire, where he briefly worked in a cotton factory, and eventually emigrated to Australia when he was 24 years old. I can gain access through a subscription to worldwide records, with which I should be able to gather more information on Edgars life in Australia, though I will wait until the new year to sign up, since I am currently too busy with the dissertation to do any more research.
