LITHGOW

While the Small Arms Factory in Lithgow is no longer operational, there is a museum dedicated to all things associated. I emailed them with a request of possible information regarding an Edgar Law. Below is the reply;
After confirmation from the Museum, I took to browsing their site for possible information regarding the history of the Factory. I found that amongst the weapons produced for the British in the War, the factory also produced handcuffs.
Handcuffs, its quite possible they are the same ones that I have in my possession. There was no further information on the website of what kind of handcuffs were made, I began searching online and came across a website that contains every single pair ever produced, where they were made, the year of use, and an image. Under the name, Small Arms Factory, I found them, the exact company where Edgar worked, in the time when he was in Australia, and the shape, key, and colour matched those that he owned.
The only issue is, it doesn't contain the brand marks, it should have the logo, and name of the company, there should be numbers marking the issue. His handcuffs have none, and no evidence of them ever being there. Which makes me question how he got them, were they a gift when he left, but then why no branding, did he take them in the middle of production, before they had chance to be marked?
